The Idaho State Board of Education announced that all schools in the state of Idaho would be closed until April 20, 2020.  

Dear Vallivue Parents, 

During this emergency closure of schools due to COVID-19, we hope your family is safe and healthy. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate these uncharted waters and make adaptations to continue the educational process for all Vallivue students.

LUNCH & BREAKFAST PLANS

Beginning Monday, March 30th, a Grab-And-Go lunch and Next-Day breakfast will be available for all children under the age of 18. These meals will be provided free of charge and available for pick up at Vallivue High School, Sage Valley Middle School, Lakevue, Skyway, West Canyon, and Birch Elementary Schools from 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Families should stay in their cars and drive thru as meals will be served curbside. Walk-ups are also welcome and will have a separate line. Meals should not be eaten on site. Unfortunately, meals are not available for adults.

ACADEMIC PLANS

Please continue parent-directed learning during the weeks of March 30th - April 10th with the optional resources posted at www.vallivue.org. The work will not be collected nor graded. Beginning Monday, April 13th, Vallivue School District will roll out teacher-directed learning. Vallivue School District will share logistics for teacher-directed learning by Friday, April 10th.  Please be assured that teacher-directed learning will offer both online and offline packet options for students.

The Office for Civil Rights (OCR) and Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services (OSER) have communicated that schools may not be able to provide all services in the same manner as they have been during this national emergency. With parents as our partners, we will make our best effort to ensure that all students are learning during this time. Special education case managers will be communicating with families on how meetings will be scheduled to meet eligibility and IEP timelines.

Durante este cierre de emergencia de las escuelas debido a COVID-19, esperamos que su familia esté segura y saludable. Apreciamos su paciencia y comprensión mientras navegamos por estas aguas desconocidas y hacemos adaptaciones para continuar el proceso educativo para todos los estudiantes de Vallivue.

PLANES DE ALMUERZO Y DESAYUNO

A partir del lunes 30 de marzo, se ofrecerá un almuerzo para llevar y un desayuno al día siguiente para todos los niños menores de 18 años. Estas comidas se proporcionarán de forma gratuita y se pueden recoger en la escuela secundaria Vallivue, Sage Valley Escuela primaria, Lakevue, Skyway, West Canyon y Birch Elementary Schools de 11:00 a.m. a 12:30 p.m., de lunes a viernes. Las familias deben permanecer en sus autos y conducir hasta que las comidas se sirvan en la acera. Las visitas sin cita previa también son bienvenidas y tendrán una línea separada. Las comidas no se deben comer en el sitio. Lamentablemente, las comidas no están disponibles para adultos.

PLANES ACADEMICOS

Continúe el aprendizaje dirigido por los padres durante las semanas del 30 de marzo al 10 de abril con los recursos opcionales publicados en www.vallivue.org. El trabajo no será recogido ni calificado. A partir del lunes 13 de abril, el Distrito Escolar de Vallivue implementará el aprendizaje dirigido por los maestros. El Distrito Escolar de Vallivue compartirá la logística para el aprendizaje dirigido por los maestros antes del viernes 10 de abril. Tenga la seguridad de que el aprendizaje dirigido por el maestro ofrecerá opciones de paquetes en línea y fuera de línea para los estudiantes.

La Oficina de Derechos Civiles (OCR) y la Oficina de Educación Especial y Servicios de Rehabilitación (OSER) han comunicado que es posible que las escuelas no puedan proporcionar todos los servicios de la misma manera que lo hicieron durante esta emergencia nacional.
